Today after school, the Alvirne Republicans had their second meeting. We had two guest speakers in attendance, including Shaun Doherty, and Rep. Bob Haefner.
Shaun Doherty is a 20 year-old who lives in Pelham. He is a student at Rivier College in Nashua, and is running for the NH State Legislature this November.
Bob Haefner is a current State Representative representing District 27: Hudson, Pelham, and Litchfield. He is also the grandfather of the club's President, Matt Haefner.
On Friday, June 6th, Shaun Doherty would like to officially and formally kickoff his campaign. We will therefore be having our meeting in Checkers restaurant after school on Friday, where Shaun will announce his campaign. The Hudson-Litchfield News, as well as the Pelham-Windham News will be invited. There will also be invitations sent out to Alvirne, and to the People of Hudson, Litchfield, and Pelham.

Up and Running
Ok. So in the past few weeks, I think the Alvirne Republicans have really come a long way. Just a month ago, we were still searching for an advisor for the organization. Now, we have a fully functional organization with an advisor, a charter, and lot's of publicity. Not to mention that I just got this blog up and running. This is where I will occasionally post updates and articles as to what is going on, and I encourage all Alvirne Young Republicans to subscribe to this blog.
On Thursday, May 22nd, we have our next meeting in Room 217 directly after school. At this meeting, hopefully we will have an excellent attendance because we have several guests who would like to come and see the club in action. These speakers include Rep. Bob Haefner, Sen. Bob Clegg (maybe), and NH House of Reprisentatives candidate Shaun Doherty. This is going to be a pretty good meeting, as Shaun Doherty will be formerly announcing his campaign at this meeting (hopefully). I ask that ALL Young Republicans be in attendance at this meeting.
